I am also an active blogger at SPANK'd. It is a blog created to turn passive audiences in to active ones by being able to point out unethical ads.
Definition:
SPANK (spăngk)
v., SPANK'd, spank·ing, spanks.
To discipline an ad because of it’s unethical content.

There are many advertisements that are unethical, yet as audiences, we just allow the ad to pass us by. The long term effect of passive viewing of unethical ads can be very harmful. It can desensitize us and sooner or later we would be accepting unethical ads as a norm. As audiences, we should have a critical eye on what we listen to, what we watch on TV and what we see on the billboards all around us. If there is something wrong with what we see, we should step up and act upon ads that do not promote values.

i like the coke ad too!
i think sexual connotations in ads should be kept private..
people say, sex sells! does it really?
let's say, as a matter of fact, these bad ads are mostly defined as in a "sexually-charged entertainment" that some people would like to see.
in a "sex-crazed" world that we have right now it would be impossible to stop these ads but we can lessen these things to occur..
we must be critical on what we see on TV's because apparently, what we see on TV's would have an influence on our actions(maybe true or not)..
but it does really affects..
so even this ad like a girl riding on a horse, wearing two-piece for promoting a beverage would seem to be a great strategy for these "businessmen"..
yet, isn't it better that we see ads that not only entertain us but also a life's lesson to be learned and inculcated?
i wish that more good ads would be produced..
like this coke ad!
i think condoms and sin products should use direct marketing starts na lng

i agree with you charles..:)
decent ads without displaying body flesh is commendable
if you view the ads as just plain business with no malice regardless of its contents, can be acceptable
is there a good and acceptable standard in todays advertising industry? Perhaps, the edvertising community needs to pool their resources to make good changes acceptable to all
good models should also have a significant role in selecting what is ethical and what is not. They have the right to say yes or no to what ads is good to the audience
making money is the sole purpose of displaying ads, to sell the product! bad or not it is the reality.
we can jump up and down, and say our disagreement with the bad ad, but the law must be amended to resolved the issue.
Parents must play an important role in educating their children concerning appropriate ads!
Discipline starts in our family, a strong foundation thought by our parents will prevail even if we look at bad ads.
Believe it or not, there is existing laws which prohibits indescent ads. Its up to us to ignore the display and look the other way. Money speaks when it comes to ads!
If you are really against the ads, just simply dont buy the products endorsed! If the user dont patronized it, then most likely they will ceased advertising it.
Just for the sake of arguement, do you really think most people really care about what ads is displayed out there? Perhaps its just a good form of entertainment!
Human eyes appreciates beauty, and respect comes within ones self! either you respond in kind or voiced your opinion with disgust.
advertising is business! the intent is to sell a product. It is that simple.
Employing ethical standards in making ads must be the norm.
Undisclosed numbers of young adults going to the internet cafe, view unrestricted and unethical ads and or sexual video! A bench ads displaying Sam Milby half naked is nothing compared to other computerized version of ads!
Business Advertising drives competition to sell their products. Different technology is used to make it appealing to the public. Its up to us whether to accept and endorsed it.
I look at many ads and I just carefully choosed what I like best.
If you are running a business of your own that requires making and displaying ads, do you think you will stay in business without doing what they are currently doing now? Lets be honest!
